People of the South Wind ini merupakan salah satu single dari salah satu album kompilasi ketiga milik Kansas.

Album yang bertajuk “The Kansas Boxed Set” ini direkam pada 1974-1979 dan 1994. Album yang dinaungi oleh label Legacy/Epic ini dirilis pada 12 Juli 1994.

Lagu People of the South Wind ini merupakan single rock progresif yang diciptakan oleh Kerry Livgren. Lagu yang diciptakan pada 1979 ini masuk ke dalam album bertajuk “Monolith”.
