You Could Be Mine ini merupakan salah satu single dari album studio keempat milik Guns N ‘Roses. Album yang bertajuk “Use Your Illusion II” ini dirilis pada 17 September 1991 pada hari yang sama dengan direkamnya Use Your Illusion I.

Kedua album tersebut dirilis secara bersamaan dengan Use Your Illusion Tour. Dengan single You Could Be Mine ini sebagai hits nya. Kedua album tersebut juga sudah disertifikasi 7 x Platinum oleh RIAA dan berhasil mendapatkan posisi no 1 di UK Album Chart selama satu minggu.
